Went up Pendle Hill tonight (or last night - whatever!). Wanted to spend some time with God, get my head straightened out a little and get some leg exercise. And I've learned so much! Like: never, NEVER, forget your gloves...

Was quite good, actually - made me feel a bit like building a huge big house and rounding up all the homeless people so they could sleep there....no-one should have to sleep outside at night, it's FREEZING. Did spend time with God, although it's quite hard to pray in howling wind and fog and extremely cold temperatures! Probably did more praying in the car going there and back - although it was mostly worship there.....glad I went, though, think it did help straighten me out a little! Might try to make it a regular thing....although next time I'll remember my gloves!

Have reached the end of chapter 1 in my main Physics text book, the plan being to do one a week. Seeing as there's 46 chapters, that should keep me going most of the year! I'm trying to do it properly this time, and answer all the questions, which is hard - they can be a bit tedious in the early stages....("Work out the density of a neutron star in metric tons per cubic centimeter") but being lazy and skipping them is the main reason I didn't do very well. So this time I'm doing it properly - a year probably seems a long time, but I'm spending the equivalent of less than one evening a week on it, and the book covers more than the first two years of a degree course! Although I might need more time, 'cause there's 75 questions for this first chapter - many of which have two actual questions in them! So while I say I've reached the end, I still have 62 questions to answer before I start chapter 2!!!

Maybe a chapter every two weeks then.....we'll see.
