Haven't done one of these for a while. Should mention that the Jubilee thing in Marsden Park happened last Monday - it was quite cool, really. We turned up and discovered that half the other acts hadn't showed, 2BR was having problems with their equipment and so they hadn't shown up either, and the power had gone in one of the buildings! So we sent Simon back with a carful of people to get our PA equipment, and ended up playing three-quarters of an hour over. My mum and sister and sister's fiancee came to watch, which was really nice - I was dead hyper all morning! Thoroughly enjoyed it, after having been quite scared all week - mind you, I didn't have to do a solo that I'd been expecting to do, which was the main thing that'd been freaking me out...
The storm the night before was quite cool, too - lightning kept striking (or near-missing) the church during the sermon, and all the lights in the church actually fizzled at one point, something I've never seen before.
Gary came back for a brief visit last night, and we went to Preston to see Star Wars 2 and Spiderman. And we had an Impact-run service this evening, which was cool - I'd forgotten how good those new songs of Chris's were! Shame I can't really join in the worship - I've found that I invariably make mistakes in putting the words up if I get involved - can't mulititask. Must get to bed, anyway - first day back at school tomorrow!
