Well, had the minor operation on my toe - was nowhere near as bad as I expected. I'd forgotten that local anaesthetics remove ALL pain - thought they just dulled it a bit! So it was fine. Am going to have my first normal day at work tomorrow - been staying in the IT office because I couldn't wear shoes!
Christmas long over now - have been even more antisocial than usual because of my toe. Pretty annoying really - there's things I want to get from down town and I haven't been able to go! Have been continually ill - nothing major, but difficult to achieve much that requires extensive thought. So I've been concentrating on guitar, german and russian. Haven't been looking for jobs - will probably do something drastic if I haven't got round to getting one by summer!
Not sure what else to say! Have written another song, which may, of course, never see the light of day if I decide it's rubbish! Been struggling getting an internet-capable version of Linux on my main computer, which is frustrating! Thinking of making the other computer into a gateway! Planning to go visit Phil at half-term, which is the 22nd Feb I think - that'll be nice! Maybe I could make a big effort to look for jobs while I'm there - at least try travelling into Cambridge and ask myself if I really want to do this! (Pretty certain I do - going crazy here! - but worth examining it thoroughly)
Have got Kylix at work, so been effectively programming in Delphi, which is what Phil does for a living! Hoping it'll help rather than hinder my C++, for reasons which I won't bore you with! That's about it, I think, at least of the things I'm prepared to put down!
